Study programme: Chemical Engineering
Study field: Chemical processing engineering
Study programme Chemical Engineering educates human resources for the performance of professional work in the field of technological engineering in the scientific field of Chemical engineering. In the framework of this study programme specialists are educated and trained to independently organize and run production processes in chemical, oil-petrochemical, food and pharmaceutical industry.
The bachelor degree studies of Chemical Engineering cover three optional study fields (modules): Chemical-Processing, Oil-Petrochemical and Eco-Energetic Engineering.
Study field Chemical processing engineering in its long term tradition has an engineering approach in problem solving and it is based on classical courses, recognizable in the world. By the application of physicochemical methods on the modern equipment, the processing parameters are defined and by the use of results analysis the parameters are defined and their interactions aiming at technological procedures improvement. At this study field the human resources are successfully trained to independently model, project and optimize technological processes and devices by the use of specialized mathematical-engineering programmes. The teaching process is based on a great amount of theoretical knowledge, laboratory and power-plant practice in order to develop creative students’ skills which enables them successful work in industry, institutes, scientific and educational institutions.
